Work Share Option
We provide a sliding scale option for our CSA members or share payments in smaller installments. However, these options may still not be affordable, or there may be individuals who want to feel even more connected to the farm and learn new skills. That is why we offer a CSA Work Share. We take a limited number of work shares each season.
We ask for 7 sessions of five hours of work in return for a discounted share price. The jobs will include harvest, washing, packing and weeding. If you want to spend your time with a different skill you possess, this is also an exciting option. Graphic design, carpentry, and fundraising have also been great work share options.
Pay In Installments
If you would like to pay in installments that is fine! When signing-up for your share, please select the 'Pay by Check' option on the Sign-Up page. Pay a minimum of $150 to secure your spot. We will expect the rest of the share by August 1st, 2017.
Low Income Option
Because our mission is to be able to provide our delicious produce and beautiful flowers to all of our community members, regardless of income level, we look to our nonprofit partners to assist with subsidizing low income CSA boxes at no price to those in need.
Right now we are partnering with two non-profits, the North East Community Center and Ancramdale’s Neighbors Helping Neighbors, who sponsor CSA boxes for low-income families in Dutchess and Columbia County. If you would like to receive one of these shares, please contact our partners directly, or email us to put you in touch with the right people. Our goal is to feed 100 families through these partnerships in 2017!
Additionally, we also have our own low income CSA fund that enables us to give community members full CSAs at our farm at reduced cost. This fund is made possible through our sliding scale as well as generous donations. Please contact email@example.com to learn more about this option.
All donations are tax deductible thanks to The Watershed Center, our non-profit partner and fiscal sponsor. Please make all checks out to The Watershed Center, with "low income CSA fund" in the memo.
“Thanks to everyone that contributes to Ancramdale Neighbors food deliveries. Even though we both work, without their help, we would not be able to afford enough fresh vegetables to feed our family on our pay.” An NHN recipient
