Farm fresh veggies, using your SNAP benefits – available Wednesdays (3:00pm-6:30pm) in Chelsea, Manhattan.
This year we are offering SNAP Veggie boxes on a walk-in basis, available every week on a first-come, first-served basis. Come check it out!
Here are the details:
WHEN: Wednesdays between 3:00pm and 6:30pm (every week from June 12th until early November)
WHERE: Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, located at 356 W 18th St, New York, NY 10011
COST: $15 using your SNAP/EBT card (more than 50% off the regular price)
WHAT: Each veggie box contains a variety of produce, 8-10 items, freshly harvested from our farm in upstate New York. The items will vary each week, based on what is growing on the farm at that time.
To make this program as accessible as possible, CSA is a SNAP shares are available weekly, on a walk-in basis. Come try it out!
Note: if you know you want veggies every week, and can commit to the full season, we are happy to add you to our member list and make sure to reserve a box with your name on it (requires commitment to pick up every week). Email csa@rocksteadyfarm.com to register. If you would rather just try it out, or come when you can - no advanced registration is required, just show up with your SNAP card to purchase your box during the pick up window.
