This work is made possible by the support of community members like you.
Your tax-deductible contributions fund our work at the intersection of food, land, labor, and liberation.
MORE WAYS TO SUPPORT us:
Whether you can give $5 a month or $20,000 a year, your contributions are so critical and make our work possible. Rock Steady Farm is fiscally sponsored by a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Good Work Institute (EIN #47-3091614); donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.
→ BECOME A SUSTAINING DONOR
Making monthly donations is the best way to strengthen Rock Steady and sustain your impact. By signing up for a recurring contribution, you help us spend fewer resources raising funds. You can cancel any time. Choose “donate monthly” here!
→ DONATE BY CHECK
Donations by check save us in transaction fees. Checks can be made out to our 501(c)3 Fiscal Sponsor: Good Work Institute, with “Rock Steady Farm” on the memo line and mailed to Good Work Institute, 65 St James St, Kingston, NY 12401. Please include your email address with your check!
→ BUSINESS SPONSORSHIP
For businesses seeking sponsorship opportunities, please see more details here. We are also members of 1% for the Planet if you prefer to contribute through that platform.
→ START A FUNDRAISER
Raising funds for Rock Steady supports our mission and helps us reach new supporters. Whether you are taking on a challenge event like a marathon, celebrating a milestone, or raising funds on social media, inviting your community to support Rock Steady can make a significant impact. We also welcome proceeds nights and initiatives with local and well-aligned businesses!

→ EMPLOYER DONATION MATCHING
Some employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees, retirees and/or employees’ spouses. Inquire with your employer and use their process to submit your donation to Rock Steady for gift matching. If you need anything from us, reach out to us at sarajo@rocksteadyfarm.com for assistance!
→ CHALLENGE OUR NETWORK WITH A MATCHING GRANT
If you or your organization would like to make a substantial donation, we welcome opportunities to challenge our community to match your gift during an upcoming fundraising drive. These ‘challenges’ are helpful in compelling others to donate, knowing their impact will be doubled by another donor. Reach out to us at sarajo@rocksteadyfarm.com if this is something you are interested in.
→ PLANNED GIVING & BEQUESTS
When you leave a contribution to Rock Steady Farm in your will or revocable trust, you empower us to make a difference for future generations of QTBIPOC farmers and community members.
In planning your bequest, you can either plan to deliver a specific dollar amount or asset to Rock Steady, or you can give a percentage of the balances remaining in your estate after taxes and other payments.
Here are few examples:
Specific Bequest: “I bequeath Fifty Thousand ($50,000) Dollars [or: all my XYZ stock; XYZ property, etc] to Rock Steady Farm, a fiscally sponsored project of non-profit organization Good Work Institute (EIN 47-3091614) in Millerton, New York.”
Residuary Bequest: “I bequeath Fifteen Percent (15%) of the residue of my estate to Rock Steady Farm, a fiscally sponsored project of non-profit organization Good Work Institute (EIN 47-3091614) in Millerton, New York.”
Contingent Bequest: “If [my beneficiary] does not survive me or is unable to inherit this bequest, I direct that it be paid to Rock Steady Farm, a fiscally sponsored project of non-profit organization Good Work Institute (EIN 47-3091614) in Millerton, New York.”

“I would like to express my gratitude for your solidarity shares. They make such a difference when otherwise it is so difficult to have access to local fresh produce. You make it seem like the world is not just an unjust place. It means so much for me. Thank you!”
